Here and there when the frustrations of graduate school got to be overwhelming, I would take a short break to indulge in the mind-numbing and tedious task of coloring the next Wave Tyrant page. Over the course of two months of doing this for a few minutes here and there, I have mostly finished this page (like 99%, although I still haven't had time to create a good texture for Reynard's belt).

I hope every one enjoys this page, because I don't know when I'll have time to do another one.

If you're an especially devoted fan, scroll to the bottom of this blog and you can still see the black and white version for now.

***update***

I've left a smaller version of the black and white image at the bottom of this post.

I'm not a huge fan of posting uncolored pages for web comics, but events beyond my control are forcing my hand. Although, if I had to get stuck posting a black and white page this is a pretty nice one...

Well, techically it does have color. I've been adding watercolor washes and color pencil shading to these pages, but this is what a raw Wave Tyrant page looks like without all of the fancy coloring that I do in the computer. Eventually, I need to do a tutorial on how I create my pages, but that will have to happen after I settle into it a bit more. The process is still evolving.

My update schedule is going to have to continue to be erratic for a while longer. There a a couple of reasons for this. One, my colorist and I are still working on and defining our collaboration. But reason number two is - and this is the big one - my apartment for graduate school has unexpectedly fallen through and I now have to find a new one. This will not be fun, because orientation week starts on Monday and that will limit the times when I can go see places.

Please bear with me as I work on the homeless problem. I am very committed to both Ninth Runs Wild and Wave Tyrant.
