This was on of my favorite pages from this story. One of the techniques I experimented with was non-linear coloring. The lead character is always identified by her lime green bag, but I had fun changing the color and shade of her hair slightly from page to page.

I do have some fantastic news to share!!! Last Friday, I found out that I won an honorary mention in a fan art contest held by one of my favorite webcomics, A Redtail's Dream by Minna Sundberg. This is an absolutely gorgeous work of sequential art with a fun and adventurous story that deals with Finnish Mythology. If you haven't seen it yet, definitely check it out!

A Redtail's Dream will be concluding this month, and will have a gorgeous book coming out in the spring. Honorable mentions will be included at the end of the book along with the winners of the contest, so I am crazy excited! I've wanted to make books since I was a kid stapling pages of scribbles together, but this will be the first time that I've ever had artwork printed in an actual book!!!
